I grew up in New York. As a child, I always knew I wanted to do something to make life better for others. I thought I would achieve that dream through the military. I attended the Air Force Academy but had a medical condition that prevented me from being commissioned. I received an honorable discharge from the military and went on to complete my final coursework at the University of Arizona where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

I met my husband in college and we moved around with the Air Force and experienced different parts of the US to include Hawaii and Colorado. I felt a continuous pull to work in the field of mental health. I completed my doctoral degree in psychology while we were stationed in Colorado.

We settled down in Massachusetts where I completed my pre-doctoral and post-doctoral internships and lived there for almost a decade before deciding we wanted a change for ourselves and our two young boys. We moved to Texas in 2017 and we love it here.

In my free time I enjoy exercising, hiking, camping, baking, playing with my boys, and cooking special meals for friends and family.
